About the conference

The Eighth International Conference “Fruits & Vegetables of Ukraine – 2011. New Exporter” and International Trade Forum involving representatives of supermarket chains and importers from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will take place in conjunction with the exhibition “Fresh produce Ukraine 2011”. Fruit-Inform Project, the largest consulting company in Ukraine and other CIS countries providing exclusive market information, is the organizer of the conference and the co-organizer of the exhibition.

This conference is the most important event for the Ukrainian fruit and vegetable business and a traditional meeting place for leading producers, traders, supermarket chains, importers, exporters, processors, and input and equipment suppliers.

The fruit and vegetable business is the most rapidly growing agricultural sector in Ukraine. According to Fruit-Inform Project's estimates, in the season 2010/11 the value of the Ukrainian fruit and vegetable market for the first time ever exceeded UAH 35 bil. (USD 4.5 bil.).

Over the last 3 years Ukraine became one of the most important suppliers of apples and greenhouse tomatoes to Russia, significantly expanded its storage capacities, became one of the biggest exporters of onions and watermelons in Europe, and began to open up more actively the European market for other fruits and vegetables.

High profitability of fruit, berry, vegetable and potato production, high capacity of the domestic market, availability of lands able to be irrigated, excellent opportunities for export of fresh and processed fruits and vegetables attract more and more investments in this sector year by year. In its turn, increase of production and improvement of its efficiency requires availability of modern fruit and vegetable storage, post-harvesting, packing and logistics methods. That's why the conference “Fruits & Vegetables of Ukraine – 2011. New Exporter” is one of the most important stage in further development of this sector.

The target audience of the conference represents all links of the fruit and vegetable business: producers of fruits, berries, cucurbits, vegetables and potatoes, as well as companies supplying all technological elements, post-harvesting, storage and packing solutions and their clients: processing enterprises, wholesale trade representatives (importers, exporters, regional and national traders) and supermarket chains.

Subject sections of the conference dealing with the present situation in the market, prospects of its development and growing, post-harvesting, cooling and storage technologies will as before show the novelties appeared in the market.

Efficiency of this event is proved by the fact that within 3 working days of the conference and exhibition you will be able to get a full notion about the present situation in the fruit and vegetable market and prospects of its development, assess novelties in growing, post-harvesting, processing, packing, storage technologies and marketing, conclude contracts for delivery of input and equipment, as well as for distribution of finished products, find new target markets, communicate with colleagues, and share ideas, knowledge and experience.
